Hi we managed to take the call, was a bit stressful as they were 10 mins late, and was ok due to his limited group they didn't really ask any activity but that they would only touch base with a similar call every month to see if circumstances changed, however mentioned the transfer of group, where he would not need to receive the calls and might get increased benefit. The call agent stated that a new assessment could be conducted entirely over the phone? Is that correct a new assessment can be by call only? We really should be looking at that but the stress/form/process etc is overwhelming for him and there is the dread that an assessor might even turn around and instead of agreeing a new group the request, in theory they could possibly even reverse his current group?
Yes it could be a possibility that he loses what he already has ie the LCW. However a lot depends on the medical evidence and if his GP and hospital consultant state that his condition has deteriorated recently then one would hope that would not an eventuality. Yes it is likely that a new assessment would be made over the phone.
