I don't understand what has happened either, David, but they are adamant my online ID was unsuccessful and that a phone appointment is not possible for me.
The lady that phoned was v nice and sympathetic, she said she wanted to phone me to chat because she could tell by my journal messages that I was v stressed and finding it all too much, and that a chat was easiest. I feel like I have no option but home ID check.
All v stressful. Just want it over with now, too stressed by it all.

That sounds far too stressful too. I have GP appointments by telephone as I'm not well enough to travel to surgery at present. And my designated GP has just stopped regular clinical consultations to concentrate on administration and surgery management, so im in limbo. I would'nt know where ot how to begin to try and get that done.
I have seen from a few previous threads/post that visiting officers are generally helpful and nice, when doing ID checks?

Hi Hfd
I think they are as per the posts. So take the Visiting Officer option.
