An update on this process
2 letters recvd regarding ESA.
I wasn't expecting the latter. Is there anything i need to be mindful of in terms of the certificate ? ie emergency tax code ? should i dig out old p45 and post a copy ?

You could create an online HMRC account and cross reference the details on the P60 with the account.
