My post was based entirely on what I know about the person awarded the highest rate in both, (without any assessment), and having had to explain the details of any correspondence (including any jargon involved) to his adult.
I have been a member of Benefits and Work for years, never posted before, and didn't chose my user name, therefore wasn't aware of what it was.
I have spent today trying to delete the post, unsuccessfully.
It is no wonder that the motorbility scheme is frowned upon if others are allowed to use the vehicle intended for the disabled. I still don't understand that this is allowed, and if that makes me judgemental, so be it.

Some people are not able to drive themselves, so the car goes to someone who can, who then helps them/ takes them about. This can be a carer, family member, or a friend. They are named on the insurance which is listed in the Mobility paperwork. There is no ‘slight of hand’.

Hi all,
If I may.....
I`m sorry Bea, but I don`t understand why you are commenting on here.
I`m disabled; no where as near as badly as some forum members (based on what I have read), but probably more than others. Regardless of the level of disability, I wouldn`t waste a second to report a person / people I thought were fraudulently claiming PIP (or any other benefit).
If, as your comments make me believe, you are 100% sure that the person you mention is fraudulently claiming PIP, why do you not report it to / inform DWP?
But, as other contributors have said, you may not know the full story.
Also, I`m afraid comments like this:
"It is no wonder that the motorbility (sic) scheme is frowned upon if others are allowed to use the vehicle intended for the disabled. I still don't understand that this is allowed"
cause the belief you have; unfortunately it`s a perpetual misbelief.
Andy

Barbara,
I would never betray personal confidences on a public forum, it portrays you as an untrustworthy confidant.
IMHO your opinion sounds very sanctimonious, by posting on forums, such as this.
in the hope of stirring up, dividing opinions on a particular age group. Oftentimes fuelled by recent media drivel.

Yes it is entirely based on exactly what I know, about the person, as confirmed by his parent, who continually sends me copies of all the things she needs explaining. As someone who has also had to compose letters to help them in the past, and being told that the PIP form wasn't even completed entirely, so yes you can call me all the names you want, judgemental, etc, etc. I see some of the stories on here, and the things most of us go through, zero points, no to mandatory reconsideration, and if you can manage to drag yourself up off the floor, and don't take those extra tablets, whilst subjecting yourself through the tribunal process, you just might get your award back. Not even had to face the disgusting assessment process, where the report is filled with lies and untruthful statements, by unqualified people who aren't even allowed to decide if someone has mental health issues, as per their recognised qualifications body. Once you finally get that little help, the government ensures that every one blames those sick and disabled for being a drain on the whole county, and causing all the problems.
