Capita complaint response received

Hello fellow B&W folks

So, a day or two late, the response to our complaint to Capita has arrived. It is a long letter, written in a pleasant tone.

The case handler looking at the complaint stated that he was unable to reach a conclusive decision as he has not been able to validate the information we sent. For some of the issues I can understand this because the assessor did not record the assessment, as we had requested. So, for example, there is no evidence of her stating that she had a maximum of one hour and typing as she spoke to us, meaning that she misheard some things. The assessor had been spoken to be her line manager and stated that she 'could not remember the assessment', which is handy.

However, there are some things that are factually incorrect and some things that have been used from medical letters completely out of context. These issues would be very easy to verify by looking at the same evidence the assessor had available to her.

The letter also said that the report meets the DWP's required standards and is clinically consistent. The assessor apparently said that on the information available the current descriptors were reasonable and there were no changes to be made.

We have 28 days to ask for another person to look at the decision...so here goes...
