PIP Light Touch was created by DJMH15
Hi is the PIP Light touch review for people who have a continuous award of pip for ten years. Or is it if you have needed pip for over ten years, but that they have assessed you every five, or other smaller sum?

Hi Chris,
Does that mean if you got pip from aug 2023 - to - aug 2033.
Then when those 10 years of pip are up, you will get another 10 years of pip awarded to you automatic, without more pip reviews. Is this a light touch review. so you keep getting a 10 year award until you die ?
I ask as my last review ended up awarding me pip for 10 years.

Sorry to correct you but Light Tough Reviews are only for claimants with an Ongoing award, a ten year award is still a Fixed Term award and does not qualify.

Do you have a ten-year award or an Ongoing one, they are not the same.
Whilst a claimant would likely receive a similar length award on renewal it is not a given, those reviewing the person can reach any Decision legally available to them.
Light Touch Reviews are not an indefinite award, they are still subject to review on a regular basis and at the DWP's discretion.
