Severe disability premium means tested?

My question is : He turns 65 soon and will lose the carers because of his state pension. Can my sister go back to getting severe disability premium instead? Or will his pensions disqualify her from receiving it?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice

She can't receive the Severe Disability Premium unless she is living alone or considered to be living alone, as I assume she lives with he husband they fail the first test and unless he is receiving DLA medium or higher rate care or has an award of PIP Daily Living they fail the second.

I think he might be getting pip standard rate for care and mobility, so that means she will get her premium?

I'm afraid that was just the first test, if she is receiving ESA(CB) then she will have to be re-assessed for an Income Related top-up as SDP is not payable with ESA(CB), she may have qualified before because the husband was only receiving CA, but if he now has an occupational pension and the State Pension, then they may have too much income to qualify.
I would start by their putting their information into one of the online benefit calculators and seeing whether she is eligible for ESA(IR), see
www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
and if it suggests that they are then request an ESA3 to be financially assessed and an IS10 for the SDP.
