What to do now my wife has become ill was created by redgt9
I'm on ESA SG with I think IR and CB, my wife worked for 11.5 hours per week and her wages approx 80% of them are taken away from my weekly money.
Now sadly my wife has become very ill and it looks like she wont get any sick pay from her job which she work for 27+ years because of the lack of hours she now worked for them.
My question please:
She is covered by Doctors sick notes and have been now for 4 weeks and still continuing, we did not know she would not get any sick pay until her four week wages were meant to be paid and she got nothing.
Will she get added to my ESA and will DWP stop taking her earnings from my money, please what is the best plan of action for us.
Regards

If her wages are being deducted from your ESA then she is already part of your ESA claim, you need to notify the DWP that she is no longer receiving any pay and they will adjust your payments to reflect this.
That said I am surprised that she is not receiving Statutory Sick Pay, see
www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay/overview

One more question please. we have now made the changes to my Claim of ESA which now the DWP no longer stops my wife rages which she no longer gets.
The question, I sent everything to the DWP including my wife sick notes and the last one is about to run out, do I need to now send in regular sick notes to the DWP they have not asked me too.
Thank you for your help..

Yes, you need to maintain a Fit Note for her until a Decision is made on her claim.

Thank you Gordon, my wife has not made a claim because she is in my IR ESA as my wife. We were told she don't need to claim because she is in my claim, will she need to send sick notes to DWP.
Again thank you.
