post PIP tribunal wait was created by bobby
I had my pip tribunal hearing on the 13/3/15.They told me it was successful but i still have not received a letter. Daren't phone them as it might just tip me over the edge if they have changed the decision. Been waiting since first applying in sept 2013. How long have others had to wait.
Thanks

Hi b,

Congratulations !! :cheer:

If they informed you at the hearing that your appeal was successful and they found in your favour, it is not at all likely that they will change their decision.

I would contact The Tribunal whether you do so by phone or e-mail, you can speak to The Clerk.

There is a chance that your Decision Notice letter has gone astray, and you really need written confirmation of the decision.

You should have phone and e-mail contact details for The Clerk to The Tribunal in any letters from The Tribunal regarding your appeal.

Failing the above, you could write a letter.

Hi b,

Is the letter that you speak of The Decision Notice, as they do sometimes hand them to the appellant on the day of the hearing ?

If it is The Decision Notice it should state that your appeal was successful with a brief explanation of why they found in your favour.

If you have the Decision Notice and you are happy with the decision, there is no need to contact them.

You could however send a copy to DWP PIP, this may help to speed up the updating of you PIP file to reflect the positive decision, and pay you any arrears owed since the date of the adverse PIP decision that you appealed :

Sending Documents to the DWP.

Don't worry b, it is complicated, it is just that we are dealing with similar queries on a regular basis !! :)

Keep the Decision Notice in a safe place, and make some photocopies.

Send one of the copies to the address of The DWP Benefits Office/Centre on your most recent DWP PIP letter.

You could include a brief note explaining that you are sending them a copy of The Decision Notice in an effort to help them update your PIP Claim.

It can take 8 weeks or more depending on the amount of any arrears owed for the DWP to make the payments of arrears into your Bank Account.

Payments of your normal PIP may go in sooner !

The DWP should also have received The Decision Notice from The Tribunal, sending them a further copy may just give them a "nudge" ! :)

You could also ring The PIP Helpline for an update :

Telephone: 0345 850 3322.

Textphone: 0345 601 6677.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

Please let us know how things are progressing.
