Delays in ESA forms being sent out was created by mangof
Hi, I was expecting an esa50 to arrive in November but I haven't received one so far.
I am in the support group and this was to be for two years before reassessment. The two years were up last month.
I know there have been delays in getting renewal ea50 forms for some people.
My question is what kind of length of delays have you heard of? I am wondering if I might not hear for another few months yet. (maybe too much to hope for...)
(I am in the Leeds area).
Thanks.

I'm afraid that I cannot quantify the delay, but there certainly is one. Maybe someone in your area will be able to comment.
My own ESA50 is due any time now, I was given 'not less than 18 months' on reconsideration in October 2012...

Whilst we do have a handful of members who have gone past their re-assessment date, we do recommend that you contact the DWP to find out whether an ESA50 has been issued, a failure to return the assessment form can result in a claim being closed so it is definitely to your advantage to check.
I am sure you are wondering if this is a Catch-22, that you trigger the assessment, and I am afraid there is the potential for it to be one, but it could also take months to sort out an un-returned ESA50 with no guarantee of success.

Ok, thanks, Gordon.
I was originally put in the wrag group for 'at least two years'. Six months later I got put in the support group on reconsideration and the person on the phone said for two years. I have been assuming they meant from the original wrag date as that is the way the dwp usually work.

It is not impossible that they reset the date, as it would still leave you within the 3 year maximum for the SG, as I said earlier we do know of a number of members who have passed the re-assessment date and an ESA50 has still not been issued, you just need to make sure that it hasn't and it is not a case that you have not received it.
