Thank you for the links, I shall read them all.
I am writing detailed answers to all the questions 11-17 as he has learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder and mental health issues and in theory scores more than the required 15 points.
Many thanks again to you all for your help.

Just to be clear, 15 points only places him in the WRAG where he will be required to participate in Work Related Activity subject to sanction if he does not. If you feel that he cannot do this then you need to be looking to have him placed in the Support Group, see the links already posted.

Hi SC,
Just to reiterate Gordon's point, qualifying for The SG is not points based, even though some of The WRAG Descriptors that score the maximum 15 points also correspond to some of The SG Descriptors.
You only have to fulfill "ONE" of the SG Descriptors to qualify.
We had a little competition some time ago regarding the maximum points that a claimant could be awarded without being placed into The SG , and found the following :
WRAG (LCW) Activities. (Descriptors)
1. (b) 9 Points.
2. (b) 9 Points.
3. (b) 9 Points.
4. (b) 9 Points.
5. (b) 15 Points.
6. (b) 15 Points.
7. (b) 15 Points.
8. (a) 15 Points.
9. (a) 15 Points.
10. (a) 15 Points.
11. (b) 9 Points.
12. (b) 9 Points.
13. (b) 9 Points.
14. (b) 9 Points.
15. (a) 15 Points.
16. (b) 9 Points.
17. (b) 15 Points.
Total = 201 Points.
So “theoretically” it is possible to be awarded 201 Points and still only be in The WRAG of ESA and not in The SG.
