Hi sc,

It is possible for you to claim JSA if you have no other income to live on.

You can do so whilst your MR is ongoing with provisions written in that include limitations on what actions you have to undertake to actively seek work.

If your M.R. is unsuccessful, then you can appeal to The Tribunal Service, and revert back to ESA, which you will receive at the assessment rate. You will have to obtain fit notes.

If you can manage without claiming JSA, you should obtain fit notes from your G.P. and send them into The DWP.

If your MR is unsuccessful, and you then go on to appeal, you will be paid assessment rate ESA from the date of the fit for work decision, once the appeal is accepted by The TS. (on the provision that you have been providing fit notes from the date of the fit for work decision)
