Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with many things day to day. Household tasks such as doing dishes, vacuuming, cooking and laundry cause me a significant amount of pain and I often struggle to keep up with these tasks and take care of myself. I also struggle walking for long distances or standing for periods of time which can make getting around challenging. I am employed full time and have to have accommodations in work to be able to do my job with my disability as I struggle with things such as typing or sitting for long periods in one position. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose the daily living component of my PIP. The money I receive pays for specialist physio not covered by the NHS which I would no longer be able to afford. I also use my PIP to help pay my rent so I can live closer to my place of work to avoid commuting too far as travelling long distances on public transport is difficult with my chronic pain and fatigue. I may have to move to a less expensive area if these cuts take effect. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: N/a |
Anything else to tell us: Though the government want to encourage people into work, removing my PIP benefits may mean I have to leave my current full time job. |
