I already need physical assistance to meet my daily living needs, but there are no provisions for this in my area. | Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: £540 a month. My total income is entirely from benefits, so PIP represents 1/2 of my monthly income. I will just not be able to survive. I will not be able to buy suitable food (I cannot cook for myself). I will not be able to pay for care, at present I pay for a supporter for 2 hours a week. They help me look after my home, and cook. I will not be able to pay for an online prompt system to remind me to do tasks like wash, dressing, clean my teeth drink water. I will not be able to pay for decent incontinance wear, for urinary incontinance and I have been told I am not eligible for any support with this. . |
| Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: How could I even think of working or make use of a work coach, when I am not even able to manage basic self care? I am exhausted already, my health and care needs are not being met already. I pay to have these (partially) met using my PIP. If my PIP award goes then so will these support systems. I have no state support and no friends or relatives who can help me. I am alone. I have severe and enduring mental ill health, I have physical Ill health, a work coach cannot make these go away, or create an employment space where these difficulties are accepted and reasonable adjustments are made. No one will employ someone who cannot wash, dress, travel, engage with people, go to the toilet without support. |
