Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: 290.00 pcm
Would leave me with less available income to be able to buy the ready prepared and ready made foods which I need.
Also I rely heavily on other people helping me with transport and I help with fuel costs and vehicle maintenance which would be harder.
I would also have less to pay for others to do some household chores for me
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: As I am affected by at least one or all of my health conditions daily to varying degrees I would be a very unreliable employee.
Due to autism there are many environments which I find it overwhelming to be in for long periods of time either because of sound levels or proximity to people.
Chronic fatigue and pain associated with M E means that I have to rest very frequently and I become both physically and mentally exhausted either during activity or after which can take a long recovery time.
As an example, in 2021 I tried a few hours volunteering in a care home. This consisted of asking residents to come to the dining room for breakfast. Following a list to prepare drinks and simple breakfast orders such as toast and cereal for about 12 people. This took about an hour. I then took some crockery etc to the kitchen to load into a dishwasher. I rested several hours, had lunch and helped to serve about 12 residents lunch after which I again put one load into a dishwasher and emptied one load. Total work time about 2hrs 30mins. That evening I was in bed by 8.30pm and slept for 14hrs. The following 4 days I was too exhausted to leave the house and on the Sunday I was having difficulty walking. I was admitted into hospital a few days later where I stayed for 3 days. The conclusion was that I was suffering from severe exhaustion.
Anything else to tell us: My conditions are variable and complex. Some days I feel so overwhelmed by light and sound that I have to stay in my room with the curtains closed and have minimal contact with my family, this happens about once a month and lasts up to 3 days.
I get migraine for weeks at a time which means physical and mental activity for me is severely limited.
Pain and fatigue can amp up for any reason anywhere in my body and leave me just able to care for my daily needs. I can be house bound for days at a time. Even talking at these times is very exhausting for me.
Brain fog and cognitive difficulty make it hard for me to think and communicate, even a simple conversation becomes difficult because I have to try and formulate my thoughts and then convey them which becomes unreasonably complicated and stressful.
Small incidents can leave me severely depressed which can last for weeks.
Anxiety and fear can mean that I am frightened to leave the house or even talk on the phone.
Fatigue is a daily struggle for me and each day I have pain somewhere in my body.
