Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: The main struggle is preparing food on a daily basis, just one main meal a day. Overwhelming fatigue means I am not able to stand (or sit) to prepare food, and then cook it. I can do it a couple of times a week but only when I have rested all afternoon and even then I am fatigued. I miss breakfast and lunch most days as I'm too fatigued to get a bowl of cereal or make a sandwich.
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: If LCWRA is linked to PIP daily living then LCWRA and standard PIP every month. This means not being able to have cleaners in once in a while to catch up on housework, and someone to do basic gardeniing (keeping it relatively tidy) - nothing elaborate, just to make life bearable.
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I am not a reliable candidate to go into work as I never know when I am going to fall ill (fatigue and flu-like symptoms with aches and pains all over). I have a history of being 'fired' because I have had too much time off work.
Anything else to tell us: I have always asserted that I am not able to prepare food for at least five days a week and that I use preprepared meals (using microwave) for most days, but even with a letter from family, they ignore it and I don't have enough energy to 'argue'. I've had these illnesses for over 30 years and just about coped when my mother was doing all meals, laundry, housework etc etc. Now I have those to see to myself, I am not able to cope with much else but to have a very limited and isolated life (not by choice!).
