Nickname: Forlorn
Age: 65
Main health condition: Both physical and mental health
Main conditions that affect daily living: Sleep Apnea (Obstructive) - Bronchiectasis - Asthma (Severe) - Asperger’s Syndrome / Autism Spectrum Condition - Depression & Anxiety - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) - Dysphagia (Swallowing Difficulties) - Colitis (Suspected/Intermittent) - Sciatica (Lower Back and Leg Pain) - Tourette Syndrome
Rate of PIP daily living component: Enhanced
4 point descriptor score: No
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: If I was assessed correctly then I would be assessed as 4 points for Taking Nutrition… I didn’t pursue this point as the whole PIP claim and renewal process is difficult and draining, just as it’s meant to be.
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I experience a wide range of physical, emotional and cognitive challenges every day that significantly affect my ability to live independently and complete even basic tasks safely, reliably, repeatedly, and in a timely manner.

Severe fatigue and daytime drowsiness caused by sleep apnea and poor sleep quality make it hard to get out of bed, concentrate, or follow a routine.

Breathing difficulties from bronchiectasis and asthma often leave me breathless, unable to move far, or complete physical tasks.

Chronic pain from sciatica and back problems restricts my mobility and makes walking, standing, or bending difficult and painful.

Swallowing problems (dysphagia) interfere with eating and drinking, causing discomfort, choking, vomiting, and nutritional issues.

Ongoing mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, and OCD, severely reduce my motivation and ability to care for myself, manage my medication, or carry out daily tasks.

Autism and Tourette’s make social interactions overwhelming, and I often isolate myself to cope with sensory overload, communication difficulties, and involuntary vocal tics.

Toileting difficulties due to colitis and anxiety require strict routines and limit my ability to leave home.

I often need support and reminders to take medication correctly, manage hygiene, prepare food, and attend appointments.
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: The whole of my Daily Living Allowance
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Zero. I retire very soon and I have a life of extreme poverty to look forward to as well as having to deal with the many difficulties I have with my health. I will never get better, indeed, my health will get worse. Frankly, I'd be better off dead. If these plans are put into force then I will make what arrangements I can and then make plans to end my life.
Anything else to tell us: I think I've been pretty clear. I hope you have a great day. However, I'm affriad I won't.

In conclusion, Liz Kendall’s speech constitutes a grave affront to disabled people in the UK. The weaker and more abhorrent the argument, the louder and more strident the rhetoric, echoing the kind of poisonous oratory seen and heard in a Germany of the 30's and 40's.

Shame on her and all the other wicked people in government.

Thank you
