Benefits and Work has published a brief members’ guide to “Life after managed migration”, now that the managed migration of employment and support allowance claimants to universal credit is all but completed and claimants are having to adjust to the new regime.

The 21 page guide covers items such as:

Screenshotting and downloading your journal

  • Changes in your health
  • Complex needs
  • Alternative payment arrangement
  • Avoiding and challenging sanctions
  • Making a formal complaint.

There’s also a troubleshooting section which deals with issues such as:

  • My partner is now also disabled.  Can we add another LCW/LCWRA element to our claim?
  • The amount of New-Style ESA being deducted as income from your UC is different to what you actually receive.
  • You have moved to UC and have now realised you should have been receiving more irESA (or other legacy benefits) before you moved.

Members can download the guide from the ESA and UC Guides page

Many thanks to Keely Gabriel for creating this new guide for us.
