Hi

could any of you list some suitable aids which could help with the following.


Get in and out of bed

Manage your toilet needs

Get up and down stairs

Get in and out of a chair

Move about in doors

What is right for one person, might end up hurting someone else and to advise the best way to do what you ask might make your health worse, you are best asking an OT to visit and advise what is best for you and your problems

You are entitled to have your needs assessed by an occupational therapist employed by your local social services department. There is usually a waiting list (bet that will get longer everywhere with this govt's plans) but definitely worth giving the council a call.
