Posts over the Bank Holiday period. was created by pata1
Hi All,
Just to remind members that currently we have two moderators who are qualified benefits advisers but who are currently very ill in hospital, ie. my husband Jim and Pete, and therefore unable to reply to benefits queries, as I am also.
All social security benefits offices are closed over the Bank Holiday weekend and don't open until Tuesday 6 April.
That means that Steve and Crazydiamond are the only moderators with experience of benefits advice, but I'm sure they'd like to have time off over the Bank Holiday period.
As I'm sure you're aware all moderators are volunteers, and have chronic illness or disability themselves, so need to take time out, otherwise they also may succumb to flare ups of their own health problems.
We are not a 24/7 welfare rights organisation, what we try to do, is to give information and general advice to complement that which is given in the guides in the members area. We cannot give advice on individual claims as is explained in Frequently Answered Questions
Access to the forums is not part of your membership, but is provided as a courtesy to subscribing members, so at times you may have to wait for your post to be cleared by a moderator, as all posts must be approved before they appear in the forum, mainly for legal reasons. Also, once approved, you may have to wait a while for your query to be answered depending upon how busy we are, and the number of moderators available to answer queries.
Again, can I remind you to, where possible, use the 'Forum Search' facility, since the vast majority of queries have been asked and replied to before.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Happy Easter.
Pat.
