When does the DWP first get to see your IB50?

Can anyone please tell me when the decision maker from the DWP first gets to see your completed IB50 questionaire? Does he receive a copy from Atos as soon as they receive it, or does the DWP decision maker only get to see it after the medical, if Atos decide a medical is required?
Thanks, Joe.

As the IB50 is issued by Atos and has to be returned to them, it is likely that the decision maker will first have sight of it when a decision on entitlement is required, which would be after the medical or following medical scrutiny advice from Atos, if a medical is not required.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi when i sent my IB50 i also sent copies of my medical reports (with date and nat ins No) on everyone to my local benefits office by recorde delivery. I was awarded IB for 12 months no medical was required. best wishes,
