PIP review.

Could you please advise here.
My PIP review, 3rd one since 2017 which was my original award year.
This review my conditions have deteriorated significantly over last 2 years, prior to that had been a slow deterioration - even last assesment the assesor wrote at end when recommending review time and reasons he put that he expected my co ditiins to deteriorate.

Anyway after extending time to get review back to them because I needed help to complete and times I was unwell, my review was sent to them including extensive consultant gp and occ health reports that also detailed effects with explanations.
I sent it tracked and next day delivery signed for on 3rd June this year.
It initially moved surprisingly fast. It was signed for at 6.48am on 4th June. In the afternoon of same day 4th June it was scanned and went into.live review on their system.
I rang DWP 10 days ago to see where it was currently. I asked to speak to a case manager as I know they have mkre access to someones PIP record than PIP helpline does.
Spoke to case manager and she had looked at my file and said that it had been 'triaged' on 15th June as they try to see if can be done 'in house' but that as my review could result in increase of award that they had to send to assesment provider, so it was currently sitting in batch waiting to gonto assesment provider as she explained that they arent sent individually. She also advised that if there was any increase, its backdated from date review started. That surprised me, I didnt know they did that for reviews. She also confirmed my PIP extended for a further year to July 2027 of which I received written confirmation..

Now that was 15th June it entered that 'batch, its now 4th August. As of Friday just gone when I rang Maximus(who cover Newcastle/Sunderland/North East area) and they still dont have it, so its still stuck in a batch.

So how long do you know do they sit in that batch before getting sent over electronically to Maximus, & how often if a review would mean moving frkm 11 points daily living to enhanced and 4 points no payment for mobility to 12 points enhanced, could that be done bynpaper review with all eveidence and form I sent or in thise circumstances does it always go to assesment with that kind of increase in question?

Thats what I thought re date if decision that is what it was, and fact was a case manager that I was transferred to who told me that was from day they initiated review is what really confused me.
Maximus North East I had read were moving faster than other parts of the country, but faster regarding PIP these days doesnt really equate to much at all.
Thing is the first time I chased it when I spoke to the helpline, that advsisor suggested that to get it looked at quicker to commence a change of circumstances at which point the review process would stop.
Due to various factors health wise, and because of sickness of the legal advsisory service law centre person who was helping, the date my review was due back was extended more than once, the whole process of completing the review had a detrimental effect on me, and for the sake of my mental health, (thats not what my PIP is by the way), I couldnt go through the process of completing another form and putting it altogether in order to get back to them, plus whereby currently my PIP has been extended a year till July 2027, I did not know the effect stopping the review in order to do a change of circumstances would have on that extension.
A change of circumstances would be the wrong thing to do anyway, because my conditions are the kind that deteriorate ongoing, the last assessment on their report last review 2023 when giving recommended review said they expected deterioration. As an example, my conditions had worsened within 3 mknths of my last review, deteriorated again by 6 months after, and significantly in last 2 years as I said. Things are worse then they were a month ago, so if I did go down the change of condition Id be on a never ending c of c reporting form assessment then almost as soon as decision made Id be ringing again with a c of c.
That would only stop being like that when I would/will get to a point where Im not able to do that for myself.

So here I am, desperately needing additional financial help to be able to pay for the additional help I need, stuck without being able to do so for it seems another year or more.

Its good you confirmed in your reply that any increase is from day of decision and that the case manager was incorrect.
