I'm not after any advice, I guess this is just more an update really.
I had a call from the decision maker for my MR today, which has knocked me for six. I was happy just kind of ignoring it until I had a letter through the post, so it's triggered my anxiety now.
She asked if I have any further evidence, last doctor's appointment (last week), any changes to treatment (last week), checked what bank I use, asked if I've been abroad or to prison since application and if I could handle a lump sum payment.
She said there will be a decision within the next couple of days and I'll get a letter.
My post takes weeks to arrive, so I was hoping to just get the letter and deal with that then, so knowing that it's happening *now* is terrible.
That's all. I just needed to get it out.
I'll update here as soon as I hear anything either way.
As always, I appreciate all the support and work you put in here 🩷

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Katiee
Hang in there. You have done so well sticking with this. I know you'd have preferred not to know, but there's nothing you can do about that now. I really hope you get the outcome you're seeking.

I forgot to mention this bit yesterday -
She said that medication etc will not be looked at if it was started after the original decision date, and she said I would need to do a CoC for the but when I looked it up, at MR stage, that would cancel my application, and trigger a new application?
It confused me a bit did that, particularly as she missed out the bit about it being a new application of I did that! Bit odd that she mentioned it in the first place I thought, though everything to do with PIP is extremely confusing!
I'd already sent in my new prescriptions anyway, I'm sure it hasn't done any harm anyway.

Hi Katiee
It is strange that she mentioned it. It won't have done any harm sending in the prescriptions - they will probably just ignore them.

As expected, zero award again.
No mention of the second assessment, only the original, and the decision made the months before my second assessment.
Noted things I'd provided as evidence in the MR as things not awarded for (e.g. the photo of my split level cooker to prove that the assessor was talking nonsense about being able to bend to put things in the oven).
Not having anyone see me walk, but the decision maker saying I can walk without pain or discomfort, despite having told BOTH assessors that is a smack in the face.
Maybe in a year or so I'll get an award, but the way things are going, I probably won't even make it that far anyway.

Hi Katiee
I am sorry. I know this is devastating after all your efforts. Are you going to go for an appeal? It is strange that they did not use the second assessment information - that appears to be just plain wrong. You are supposed to have a phone call explaining why you did not succeed. You can always call the DWP and ask for one with the decision maker. You probably don't want to, but it can sometimes be helpful in trying to understand why they think you don't meet the criteria for an award.
