Thanks for the reply David
To be honest I don't know what to do.
The thing is, I've always just been named on my partners ESA claim, and as such I was never pursued to get work or anything, but I also don't have any previous documentation, other than doctors letters to say what my conditions are like, nothing from previous DWP claims, I'm 2 years off pension age and to be truthful, I find it difficult and painful to walk 50 yards most days.
Now we have both been migrated to UC, **To Me**, it looks like I've got to prove that I'm unfit or they're going to ask me to start looking for work and attending the jobcentre every 2 weeks etc etc. If I say I don't want to go down the health pathway thing.

David, I'm sorry if it looks like I'm being really stupid here, but I just don't understand how the outcome would be different if I say I don't want to do the health pathway thing like you suggested.

Hi rocco1504

Carer's are allowed to ignore the Health Journey altogether because as a carer you are exempt from looking for work. This means that you can refuse to go to the Jobcentre completely because you are in the " no work related activity group ".
Here is the full explanation from Citizens Advice :-

IF YOU CARE for a severely disabled person for at least 35 hours a week, you’ll be in the ‘no work-related activity group’ if one of these applies:

you’re entitled to or getting Carer’s Allowance or Carer's Support Payment

you can’t get Carer’s Allowance or Carer Support Payment, but only because your earnings are too high, and the DWP thinks it would be unreasonable for you to look for work and be available for work

The person you care for must be getting one of these benefits:

Attendance Allowance

Pension Age Disability Payment

the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment

the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Adult Disability Payment

the middle or highest rate of the care component of Child Disability Payment

the highest or middle rate of the care component of Disability Living Allowance

Constant Attendance Allowance paid with a war disablement pension or industrial injuries benefits

Armed Forces Independence Payment

the highest rate of the care component of Scottish Adult Disability Living Allowance.
