PA4 Question was created by Jaged
Hi, I had a pip review a couple of months ago and didn't agree with how they scored the daily living section, so I sent my MR in and asked for the PA4 from my review. It was a paper decision so I'm not 100% sure they do them.
But...
What they did send was an old PA4 from a F2F assessment I had back in 2017 I remember very well because I was fuming with how the assessor behaved.
What an interesting read this is proving to be but also how concerning if assessors look back to past assessments to help score us.
The assessor contradicted himself all the way through the form stating I struggle with x activity then marking me 0.
But whats most concerning is he put in that for claimant gave consent to full examination. I never did at all and never would.
Then he goes on to list a number of findings saying normal range for parts of my body that have never been normal.
The way I can tell this assessors is lying is he's listed all these things as though he's examminned me but not mentioned my most severe deformed parts of my body.
The parts of my body the disease I have deforms the most.
The disease thats eventually stopped me working and put me on PIP.
So my biggest part of my whole PIP claim, that I refer to all the way through in every form I fill out.
There's a second thing he's not mentioned that had he examminned me he would have written down as again it's a deformity the disease I have causes and can't be missed.
So, I haven't a clue where that assessors got those findings from. An old medical from years before? Or, maybe just pluscked out of thin air.
I'm thinking the latter because you'd have to go back to early childhood to get "normal range" in the part of my body he refers to and even then, I'm not sure it would ever have been normal.
So, blatant lies in that old PA4 from 2017.
I've only learned we can ask for all these things back to see how we've been scored in an assessment and why, so it's interesting I get sent the one from a very bad assessment.
The worst I ever had.
So, I have a few questions:
Should I get back in touch today and tell them they sent me the wrong PA4 and ask for my most recent?
Should I type up a quick letter highlighting my concerns (not accusing) about this old PA4 that says I was examined when I wasn't?
Do DWP refer to old/past assessments to work our scores out when we have our reviews?
Because I'm sure I can recall reading in another PA4 of mine something along the lines of "wasn't awarded in last medical" or "according to last medical"
I find it very strange having a disease that gets worse with age, with me reporting in reviews how it's got worse, I look at PA4's and they look copy n pasted and I'm being scored the exact same.
Last two medicals I've had have the exact same scores and they shouldn't.
Thanks.

Hi Jaged
I said in a post to you two weeks ago that there wouldn't be a report for your recent review because it was paper-based. benefitsandwork.co.uk/kunena/10-dla-esa-...view-question#313232
Yes, they do sometimes look back at past assessments, and a lot of people complain about them doing it, though not always to the DWP.
You can write and tell them that you didn't agree with the 2017 review, but as that is nine years ago - it won't make any difference. However, if you suspect they used that to make the decision at your recent review and you want to challenge the outcome, you may want to say they used an inaccurate date and point out how much things have changed in the last nine years.
