I’ve received a letter from DWP in relation to a claim I made for my daughter back in February 2017. There have been changes in how they assess DLA for children with congenital heart disease and they are now looking again at such claims - We may be owed some money. They’ve asked me to fill in yet another DLA form giving them information about her condition back in 2017 - that’s 9 years ago!

Can anyone please advise do I fill in yet another form, or should I take a chance and let them make a decision on the information they already have. I’ve been told that the DWP do not keep copies of forms. Grateful for any advice

Hi carb

We cannot answer your question on whether to complete the new form or not, It is up to you whether you complete the new form.

Did you keep a copy of your original application, if you did then use it as a template and make any changes necessary, especially if your daughter's condition has deteriorated overtime.
