NEW STYLE ESA CONTRIBUTION BASED SUPPORT GROUP was created by Carol
Please could you advise if you are on the above do you have to migrate to UC or do you stay on ESA contribution Benefit support group indefinitely. I’m also in receipt of pip both elements higher .

Are you saying that you have made a claim already to the new Contributions Based ESA which is called New Style ESA and for which you need to accept a Claimant Commitment?

Thank you for your reply. No Ive been in receipt of new style esa (contribution based) in the support group for a few years and am in receipt of pip higher both areas I just wondered if as I’m in the support group of new style contribution based esa if I will be asked to migrate to uc I thought if I’m new style esa for past few years and contribution based and in support group I stay in that hope that makes sense.

Hi Carol
Thanks for clarifying the situation and no you won't be asked to migrate to UC in these circumstances but you could make a new claim to UC if you chose to. You could see if you would have an entitlement by using a Benefits calculator such as Entitledto.co.uk
