Soft Touch PIP review was created by Bodnar
I am 69 years old and have been receiving Personal Independence Payment (PIP) since before I reached retirement age. Today, I received a text from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) informing me that my PIP review has started, and they will be sending me a form in two weeks.
I was originally on Disability Living Allowance (DLA) before being transferred to PIP due to a range of mental health issues, primarily anxiety. During my last review, I was able to provide supporting letters from my mental health team and my GP. However, I have since been discharged from the mental health team, which has been disbanded, and my healthcare providers have moved to other positions.
Although my GP has been very supportive in the past, it has become nearly impossible to get an appointment with him personally since the surgery transformed into a "supersurgery pod" with support and locum staff. As a result, I currently have no backup to support my case for the review form.
Additionally, I am not taking any medication for my mental health because I had concerns about the side effects, which exacerbated my anxiety. My anxiety has increased recently, and I have also developed other health issues, such as arthritis and a persistent chest virus that shows no signs of improving.
I would appreciate any advice on how to fill out the form when I receive it. Thank you.

Hi Bodnar
If you have a look at the Guide to PIP claims and reviews, you will find the information to complete the AR2, which is the form I would expect you to receive, as you are past retirement age. It is a much simpler form and it only asks you to confirm that your difficulties are ongoing which they are. It does ask for your main health professional, and you simply say it is your GP. Have a look at what it says and see how you find the form and then come back if you have more questions.
