DWP demanding further evidence after they lost at a tribunal

We won a PIP tribunal last week.. The tribunal had made their decision on the basis of strong paper evidence before we even entered the room and awarded enhanced care and mobility without asking any further questions. But now, a week later, the DWP has contacted the claimant demanding further proof of hospital stays (The proof is already documented in the court bundle). Do they have the right to demand further evidence from the claimant after the tribunal has made their decision? It feels like harrassment.

Hi Giselle

I have never heard of it happening, you say that it is documented in the bundle, you could let them have the bundle number as every page is numbered.

DWP do have the right to appeal the decision, we would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Specialist before contacting DWP; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies in your area advicelocal.uk
