Moving to different country and UC was created by Natalie
I currently live in Lancashire and thanks to your brilliant site, I have successfully been migrated to UC. However, shortly I am moving to Flintshire, in Wales, to live with my Mother. She is not my carer and I am not hers. Blame the rising costs of living for both of us. I have been warned that this house move will trigger, not just a change of circumstances, obviously, but, at also trigger the DWP asking me to claim again for UC. PLEASE don’t tell me I have to go through this nightmare again?

Hi Natalie

No moving to Wales does not close your UC claim or change your UC Standard Allowance. Housing Costs and Council Tax may vary.
