UC migration from ESA Support Appointee ID issue

Hi, I am my son's appointee. I received the migration letter to move him from ESA support group to UC. I filled in the online form and provided details of two forms of his ID. They haven't accepted that and have made an appointment at the local job centre on Monday. It is impossible for my son to attend or to be interviewed at home. It is also difficult for me to attend. Whose ID do they need, his or mine? I had been under the impression that neither of us would have to attend any interviews.

I would be grateful for any advice, thank you

Hi careworn

I think this has been answered in your other post. You will need to provide ID for both of you.

is there the opportunity when completing the form to provide ID for both appointee and claimant? Thanks

No. The form only allows one ID. I had a phone call to verify my details as Appointee and then had to go into the job centre with the bank card + statements for the appointee account and my photo ID. When you attend the job centre take the ID for both of you and the bank details for the account UC is supposed to be paid into. I was left waiting for 45 minutes because their stupid system books appointments in the client's name. So the agent was looking for a young man, not an older lady, and assumed the young man had failed to attend. Eventually I asked what was happening and it got straightened out but it was rather irritating. If you are not called then please make a fuss.
