Enhanced Disability Premium (Esa) failure to transition to U.C was created by Racingbok
After my Mandoratory Migration to U.C there is a shortfall in Transitional Protection.
Having provided all info to DWP, and showing my calculations; they've acknowledged there " may " be a problem.
I wanted to post the relevant part of the latest reply from U.C.
It implies a wide spread problem.
" I believe the discrepancy in your UC payment may be because you were previously getting the Enhanced Disability Premium on ESA. It's only relatively recently that it has been decided nationally that this ESA element should take part in the process of moving claimants from ESA to UC. A specialist team is working through these claims to re-check them. We are starting to see underpayments appearing on some of them. Please bear with us, as your assessment should be looked at by this specialist team at some point. A new Transitional Protection amount may then be calculated. Unfortunately, we have been told that under no circumstances can we attempt to rectify this ourselves. They must be actioned by the specialist team. "
Are moderators/ forum members aware of this specific issue?
How many others are being underpaid on Transition from this specific component?
Enhanced Disability Premium isn't listed on my recent (pre-migration) ESA award letter!
I think it's ' Disability Income Guarantee '
I've had an acknowledgement from my M.P after raising this... we shall see.
First time posting on here; if it's already an active thread etc please direct me.
Cheers, Mark.

Hi Racingbok
Thanks for passing on this information. Can I forward your experience to a colleague to look at ?
The Enhanced Disability Premium is usually referred to in the ESA award letter as the Disability Income Guarantee.
Let me know how you get on.
