Update on my PIP appeal

Had a call from DWP yesterday. They told me they’ve reviewed my case before tribunal and admitted there wasn’t sufficient evidence to remove my original award in the first place, and that it shouldn’t have happened.

They’ve now offered to:
• Restore my award to what it was (standard rate mobility)
• Backdate all payments owing from 7th April 2025
• Give me 13 months’ appeal rights on the new decision

This is basically to avoid it going to tribunal.

I spoke to my reps last night and they advised me to accept, as they don’t think I’d get enhanced mobility at tribunal. So I’m going to take what they’re offering.

Hi JustMe

Thanks for sharing your update and congratulations in causing the DWP to backtrack.
It's a shame that this has to be done though as some disabled people aren't well enough to do it.
