I hope it's ok to post in your thread roadrunner? I've just been invited to migrate over to UC and your posts interested me.

My P60U also says 'ESA500' so that means I am receiving both contribution based AND income related ESA currently then?

If that is so, I'm guessing I'll also be moved over to both the news style CB ESA whilst also claiming UC? How odd.

From a purely practical standpoint, does that make any difference to how I should approach my UC claim? I am also in the SG for ESA.

I think you should take advice from Help to Claim run by Citizens Advice. Their phone number is on page 2 of your Migration letter. Here are a couple of recommentations-
