Can I still receive contribution based ESA if I go into a care home for

1- respite care (2 weeks)
2- long term (6 months)

and will I need to be reassed / reapply.?

The answer to your question is Yes you will continue to receive ESA in those circumstances. Your ESA claim will not be closed and you will not need another medical.
