Hi, I’m confused about when is best to claim UC (I'm being migrated from ESA and also receiving HB). My deadline is 6th March. Annoying my HB payment is due 1 day later on 7th. My final ESA payment before deadline is 25th Feb.
1. Would I need to apply on 25th Feb to get 1 more ESA payment after that or do they 'pro-rata' it so you get another 2 week payment of each, whenever you apply? (does my Q make sense? its quite hard to verbalise what I mean!)
2. Also, I was trying to avoid the end of the month because sometimes my permitted work payment date moves when there’s bank holiday / xmas and want to avoid having two payments in 1 assessment period, but I think I read you can appeal this if you didn’t have a payment the month before / after, is that true?
