Hi

How do you find out the length of your PIP award?

Is it just a case of ringing up?

If I ring up will it possibly trigger a review which is what I am fearful of?

Kind regards

Hi synapse,

They usually send you a letter advising of your pay amount and when it's paid until.

Chris.

I don't have the information about when my award ends.

Like I said can I just ring up and ask them when the award ends and will it not trigger a review if I call up?

Thanks in advance.

It will be stated on your award letter.

The letter will state for how long you have your award and will list the earliest date your award will be looked at (which should be 12 months from when the award will cease).

HI synapse321

I know quite a few people whose letters don't have an end date, but they have all been given ongoing awards. Ongoing means ten years, but like all benefits, the DWP has the right to review them anytime. I also know some people who have been given ongoing awards, and an end date appears on the letter.

If you're uncomfortable about not knowing a specific date, you have no option but to ring and ask.
