Lymphoedema and enhanced pip was created by John
Hi
Have a 70+ mother in law who receives pip
She has severe lymphedema and can hardly stand.
She is unable to go upstairs in her home and has been living/sleeping on the sofa for a number of years now is she entitled to claim the higher rate of pip and carers assistance
Also help with altering her home to be able to live in it properly
Regards
John

If she meets the criteria to score the 12 points needed for an Enhanced award then she should consider reporting a Change of Circumstances to the DWP.

Be aware, if she is over 70 and does not have a Mobility award then one cannot now be made.

I'm not sure what you mean by "carers assistance"?

Hi John, home alterations for disability, whether you rent or own, are as far as I know subject to a means test and done by the local council. There is a possibility in some such circumstances of a council tax reduction.
Hope you are able to organise this successfully,
Denby
