Hi george

For claimants on ESA in the WRAG or Support Group who are asked to apply for UC, they should be placed in the LCW/LCWRA without the need to supply a 'fit note' as you are not making a new claim.

They will at some stage send out a review form, unfortunately we cannot state when this will be, I have known claimants (mixed aged couples, eldest reaching SP age) who have claimed UC, placed in the LCWRA group only to be sent a review form, whereas others who are placed in LCW/LCWRA have had no review yet.

Hi MrFibro

You should receive a letter from the pension service inviting you to apply for your state pension 3 months before your retirement date, depending on your circumstances you may also be eligible to apply for pension credit guarantee, again you can apply 3 months before your state pension age.
