Hi l,

I have not heard of this before, so I cannot give a definitive answer.

All G.P.'s are contractually obliged to provide reports for the DWP with respect to benefits such as ESA, DLA and PIP.

See this document :

G.P.’s Completing Medical Reports for DWP

I have read that quite a large percentage of G.P.'s do not always fulfill this obligation, and fail to return DLA GPFR's and ESA113's, etc.

Maybe your own G.P. is one on those that have failed to comply.

You could approach the G.P. Practice Manager, and/or the Consortium (PCT) that your G.P. operates under to try and gain some clarity.

Other members or Mods are welcome to comment if they have knowledge of this "Non Compliance"

In over 30 years of welfare rights, I have never heard of a GP being on a non compliance list.

However, I found an article on the internet stating :

“23% of GP Practices Found to be Non-Compliant” - Asons Solicitors Comment on the Prevalence of GP Negligence "

As reported in Pulse Today, a CQC investigation has found that over a fifth of GP practices have been found to be non-compliant against at least one essential standard. With failures surrounding infection control particularly prevalent, concerns surrounding GP negligence have been raised.

The full article is available HERE

Good luck.

I have not heard of this either!

I have searched the DWP website and could not find anything related to this, a more general search did bring up one article which covered GPs being allowed to practice in a particular PCT, but beyond this I don't know.

In addition to my post Googling 'non compliant GP's' brings up quite a number of results.
