Quick question - recently posted about the fact that I finally won my review/supersession and been placed in the support group.
I lost my original transfer from IB to ESA, but was then placed in WRAG following an appeal - on both these occasions I requested 'a statement of reasons' (I think that is what it was called!) as I obviously wanted to know how they'd arrived at their decision etc to enable me to appeal.
Even though I now have a satisfactory result and am in the support group I'm wondering if it is worth me asking for a statement of reasons again? Would it be useful to see what was said on the report for my latest medical/assessment - just thinking ahead for when they start on me again!!
Is it the statement of reasons I should be asking for or is it called something else? Is there a time scale for asking for this info? My decision was made 4th Oct 2013.
There is no harm in you asking, although I think you will struggle to get a written Statement of Reasons, it is more likely that they sill simply send the documents used in the Reconsideration, there should at the very least be an LT54, which might explain why the changed the original Decision.
