You can request that your face2face medical is recorded. You should write to DWP and ATOS to request this and they are supposed to do their best to comply, but we still hear of people who turn up to discover that the equipment is not available on the day.
Claimants would have to provide a sophisticated dual-recording machine if they wanted to openly record their assessment and very few are able to do this. It is perfectly legal to record secretly but you should be aware that the assessment would be terminated if this were found out.
