ESA support group with no medical! was created by SharonB1
Thank you so much, because of your wonderful ESA guide I had a letter today that I am in the support group after being transferred from SDA. The letter doesn't say how long my award is for until I am reassessed and I am deaf so can't phone to enquire. Is this normal not to put the length of the award down? They only received my form on 10 October (signed for) so this is a quick decision. The ESA is taxable, my SDA was not so I hope this will not affect my child tax credit. Thank you again!

Congratulations on the award.
The Decision Notice does not include the date of your next assessment, you can write to the DWP requesting it and/or request a copy of the ESA85A medical report, the prognosis is usually used to set the date.
I am afraid that we do not deal with Tax Credits so I cannot advise on whether your ESA(CB) will affect them, have a look at the HMRC site.
