Re the Benefit and Work email on 23rd Oct and ESA News "Worryingly, however, 29% of people who made claims between December 2012 and February 2013 are still waiting for a decision in their case."
Is this 29% for new claimants only or does it include those transerring from IB to ESA as well? I sent mine in April and have not heard yet.
Many thanks for your help.

The quoted statistics relate to new claims only, there appears to be no equivalent statistic for those being transferred, so there is no way to know how delayed this process might be
There is a separate team of DWP Decision Makers who are processing those being transferred to ESA from another benefit, however, they share key resources with the rest of the system, in particular ATOS in regard to assessments, so there are undoubtedly delays in this part if the system as well, which is supported by posts in the forum.

This is one of two topics today dealing with the same subject, it seems that things are getting even worse at DWP!
For reference, this is the other topic
