PIP claim

I dont - or should I say wasn't - accepted for DLA and thought I would wait and claim PIP instead.

You can already make a new claim for PIP, the change at the end of the month affects existing claimants of DLA.

To be honest there is no reason to wait to make a claim for PIP, unless having to wait will cause you stress, you can leave it for a whle, but the DWP will be gearing up to start the transfer of DLA claimants, so even if they sort the problems they are currently experiencing it will likely be offset by an increased load.
