Hello:
Just thought i let you all know that for the help i been awarded 2 years (HM) and (LC).This i am very grateful for but my last award was (HC) do i or can i appeal the Care rate.
By doing this do i risk my award please can anyone give me advice of weather to do this of not Thanks for reading Jac

Sorry to hear that your care award has been reduced. I am afraid we can only make you aware of the things to consider in making a decision about whether to appeal of not, not whether you should do so or not.
If you challenge the new Decision there is a risk to your current award, it is a renewal, so the likelihood of a problem is reduced but is not completely removed.
To have been reduced to Lower Rate Care the DWP are saying that you do not have any significant care needs during the day or the night, which is quite a change, is this matched by an improvement in your health? If not then you should have a case.
If you do consider an appeal, then you should have a look at the following.
