Have the criteria for qualifying for a blue badge changed recently? I never seem to be successful first time because I fall outside the boxes. After 10 years chronic pain I am tired of trying to get understanding of my condition which sees me fluctuating between tolerable pain /reasonable walking distance and flare-ups which make walking extremely difficult and nauseating.

The Blue Badge scheme has changed recently. There is now no GP involvement. Applicants who are not automatically entitled ( by dint of high rate mobility DLA for instance) will possibly/probably need an independent assessment.
