ESA medical was created by Blind vet
Hello, can anyone help and advise me please.Im being moved from IB to ESA and have to attend a medical.the center is 4 floor up and I woulnt be able to do this, so I rang and they said that they would take me to a center 20 miles away, but when I asked if Iwould have someone with me all the time they said the receptionist is there
.I havent been out on my own since loosing my sight sudenly 12 years ago I am registerd blind Im also deaf and have a nuerolgical problem that effects my balance and memory.
I would have to go with a stranger because I have no one else and it would be a terrifing experience for me.I have asked if I could have a home visit but they told me they would try but no promises

You will have a better chance of getting a home visit if your GP sends a letter of support. Even then, I'm afraid that this is entirely at the discretion of ATOS/DWP.

I have kept my answer deliberately short, but if you want more information do not hesitate to ask.
Speak to your GP and get them to send ATOS a letter confirming your disabilities and stating that a home visit is required.
If ATOS still insist on you going to them, then contact your MP.
