I received a phone call form my GP's today asking me to come in to see the doctor for a Rheumatoid Arthritis risk assessment. Does anyone know what this consists of. I was diagnosed in 1993 and have been struggling and worsening ever since. Could it be some thing to do with my claim for ESA or something else? Has anyone else heard of this? Any information would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
Weeble. P.S. This is a new doctor to me as my previous gp, who knew me inside out, has recently retired.
This does not sound as if it is anything to do with your ESA claim. It is more likely to be an initiative at your surgery - possibly (but not certainly) looking at your risk of falls, osteoporosis, depression etc.
