Backdated DLA? was created by JaneDean
Hi,
After a recent Medical, I am currently awaiting the result of my claim for DLA. If successful, I am wondering how long it can be backdated for. I didn't apply for DLA for quite a few years, after my previous award ended, when I should have and fear I may have lost any benefit I could have had for that time. Any advice would be appreciated.

If this was in effect a new claim, then it will only be backdate to the date you requested the forms providing you returned them by the required date, or the date the DWP received them if you did not.
